Overview

Pak Bill Checker (“the app”) helps you view and track electricity bills issued by Pakistan’s electricity distribution companies (DISCOs). This policy explains what information the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.

The app has no user accounts and no sign-in. The developer does not run any server that receives your bill details.

Information you enter

To fetch a bill you enter your DISCO, your 14-digit reference number or customer ID, and optionally a nickname such as “Home”. This is saved only in a database on your device.

How your bill is fetched

When you add or refresh a connection, the app sends your reference number directly from your device over HTTPS to the official public bill portal run by PITC for the DISCOs. It works the same way as opening that website in a browser.

To show load-management (feeder) information, the reference number is also sent over HTTPS to the official PITC load-management service.

The bill that comes back may contain the name and address printed on your bill, meter readings, units used, amounts and due dates. The app saves this on your device so it can show your bill offline, your usage history, reminders and the home-screen widget.

These official services are operated by third parties and have their own terms and privacy practices.

Advertising

The app shows banner ads from Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, prevent fraud and limit how often you see an ad, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, and information about ad interactions and app performance.

The app does not share your reference number, bill details or nicknames with Google or any advertiser.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads). Learn how Google uses data from apps that use its services and read Google’s privacy policy.

Notifications and widgets

Due-date reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No push server is involved. You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time.

Home-screen widgets show a summary of your saved bills using data stored on your device.

Permissions

  • Internet: to fetch bills and show ads.
  • Notifications: to remind you before a bill is due. This is optional.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not collect your contacts, photos, files, precise location or phone number.
  • We do not process payments. Pay your bill only through your bank, a mobile wallet or other official channels.

Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can remove a single connection from the home screen, delete everything from Settings > Delete all data, or uninstall the app. Because the developer holds no copy, there is nothing further to request.

Security

All network requests use HTTPS. Data on your device is protected by Android’s app sandbox. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so keep your device locked.

Children

The app is meant for bill payers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Not a government app

Pak Bill Checker is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of WAPDA, PITC, any electricity distribution company (LESCO, FESCO, GEPCO, IESCO, MEPCO, PESCO, HESCO, SEPCO, QESCO, TESCO), NEPRA, or the Government of Pakistan. Company names are used only to identify which company issued your bill. Always check the amount and due date on your printed bill or on the official website before paying.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page and shown in the app with an updated effective date.

پاک بل چیکر (“ایپ”) آپ کو پاکستان کی بجلی تقسیم کار کمپنیوں (ڈسکوز) کے جاری کردہ بجلی کے بل دیکھنے اور ان کا ریکارڈ رکھنے میں مدد دیتی ہے۔ یہ پالیسی بتاتی ہے کہ ایپ کون سی معلومات استعمال کرتی ہے، وہ کہاں جاتی ہیں، اور آپ کے پاس کیا اختیارات ہیں۔

ایپ میں کوئی اکاؤنٹ یا سائن اِن نہیں ہے۔ ڈویلپر کا کوئی ایسا سرور نہیں جو آپ کے بل کی تفصیلات وصول کرے۔

آپ کی درج کردہ معلومات

بل حاصل کرنے کے لیے آپ اپنی ڈسکو، 14 ہندسوں کا ریفرنس نمبر یا کسٹمر آئی ڈی، اور اختیاری طور پر کوئی نام جیسے “گھر” درج کرتے ہیں۔ یہ صرف آپ کے فون کے ڈیٹا بیس میں محفوظ ہوتا ہے۔

بل کیسے حاصل کیا جاتا ہے

لوڈ مینجمنٹ (فیڈر) کی معلومات دکھانے کے لیے ریفرنس نمبر HTTPS کے ذریعے PITC کی سرکاری لوڈ مینجمنٹ سروس کو بھی بھیجا جاتا ہے۔

واپس آنے والے بل میں آپ کے بل پر چھپا نام اور پتہ، میٹر ریڈنگ، یونٹس، رقم اور آخری تاریخ شامل ہو سکتی ہے۔ ایپ یہ معلومات آپ کے فون پر محفوظ کرتی ہے تاکہ بل آف لائن، استعمال کی تاریخ، یاد دہانیاں اور ہوم اسکرین ویجیٹ دکھائے جا سکیں۔

یہ سرکاری سروسز تیسرے فریق چلاتے ہیں اور ان کی اپنی شرائط اور پرائیویسی پالیسیاں ہیں۔

اشتہارات

نوٹیفکیشنز اور ویجیٹس

آخری تاریخ کی یاد دہانیاں آپ کے فون پر ہی شیڈول ہوتی ہیں، کوئی پُش سرور استعمال نہیں ہوتا۔ آپ کسی بھی وقت فون کی سیٹنگز سے نوٹیفکیشنز بند کر سکتے ہیں۔

اجازتیں

  • انٹرنیٹ: بل حاصل کرنے اور اشتہارات دکھانے کے لیے۔
  • نوٹیفکیشنز: بل کی آخری تاریخ سے پہلے یاد دہانی کے لیے۔ یہ اختیاری ہے۔

ہم کیا نہیں کرتے

  • ہم آپ کی ذاتی معلومات فروخت نہیں کرتے۔
  • ہم آپ کے رابطے، تصاویر، فائلیں، درست مقام یا فون نمبر جمع نہیں کرتے۔
  • ہم ادائیگی وصول نہیں کرتے۔ بل صرف اپنے بینک، موبائل والٹ یا دیگر سرکاری ذرائع سے ادا کریں۔

ڈیٹا کی مدت اور حذف کرنا

آپ کا ڈیٹا اس وقت تک آپ کے فون پر رہتا ہے جب تک آپ اسے حذف نہ کریں۔ آپ ہوم اسکرین سے کوئی ایک کنکشن ہٹا سکتے ہیں، ترتیبات > تمام ڈیٹا حذف کریں سے سب کچھ مٹا سکتے ہیں، یا ایپ اَن انسٹال کر سکتے ہیں۔ چونکہ ڈویلپر کے پاس کوئی کاپی نہیں، اس لیے مزید کوئی درخواست درکار نہیں۔

سیکیورٹی

تمام نیٹ ورک درخواستیں HTTPS استعمال کرتی ہیں۔ فون پر ڈیٹا Android کے ایپ سینڈ باکس سے محفوظ ہے۔ کوئی بھی طریقہ سو فیصد محفوظ نہیں، اس لیے اپنا فون لاک رکھیں۔

بچے

یہ ایپ بل ادا کرنے والوں کے لیے ہے اور 13 سال سے کم عمر بچوں کے لیے نہیں۔ ہم جان بوجھ کر بچوں سے معلومات جمع نہیں کرتے۔

یہ سرکاری ایپ نہیں ہے

پاک بل چیکر ایک آزاد ایپ ہے۔ اس کا واپڈا، PITC، کسی بجلی تقسیم کار کمپنی (لیسکو، فیسکو، گیپکو، آئیسکو، میپکو، پیسکو، ہیسکو، سیپکو، کیسکو، ٹیسکو)، نیپرا یا حکومتِ پاکستان سے کوئی تعلق نہیں، نہ ہی یہ ان کی منظور شدہ یا ان کی نمائندہ ہے۔ ادائیگی سے پہلے رقم اور آخری تاریخ ہمیشہ اپنے اصل بل یا سرکاری ویب سائٹ سے تصدیق کریں۔

پالیسی میں تبدیلیاں

اگر یہ پالیسی تبدیل ہوئی تو نیا ورژن اس صفحے پر اور ایپ میں نئی مؤثر تاریخ کے ساتھ دکھایا جائے گا۔
